  Abstract:
  The CWS is a new coal-based fluid fuels, and it is a mixture of certain proportion of coal, water, and chemical additives, which is good in rheology with such advantages as high combustion efficiency, environmental protection, energy conservation, safe and efficient. With the constant promotion of CWS technology, the technology changing Shenfu coal (a kind of hard pulping coal) into high concentration CWM has a very important practical significance. In this experiment, we study the change in propeller, rheology and stability of Shenfu coal and coal-water slurry using Shenfu coal as materials in five different temperatures. Experimental results show: with increase of thermal modified temperature, the inherent moisture of Shenfu coal gradually decreases, and the carbon content increases gradually, oxygen content reduces, O / C ratio gradually decreases. The highest concentration of Shenfu coal in slurry has also increased, the higher the temperature in thermal modification, the slurry concentration increases more obvious. So, thermal modification is one of the ways to rise characteristics in changing Shenfu coal(a kind of hard pulping coal) into slurry.

  Abstract: coal-water slurry (CWS) is a new coal-based fluid fuel being a mixture of coal, water, and chemical additives at a given ratio, and it has the advantages of good rheological property, high combustion efficiency, environmental friendly, energy-saving, safe, and highly effective. With the constant promotion of CWS technology, the production of high concentration CWS using coal species hardly to be pulped such as Shenfu coal has an important practical significance. In this experiment, we studied the variation of the quality, propeller, rheology, and stability of Shenfu CWS using Shenfu coal as the test material at 5 different temperatures. The results showed that ever increasing the thermal-modified temperature, the highest water content in Shenfu coal gradually decreased, charcoal content gradually increased, oxygen content decreased, O/C ratio gradually decreased, the highest propelling concentration of Shenfu coal also increased. The higher the temperature in thermal modification, the higher extent the slurry concentration increased. Thus thermal modification is one of the paths to improve the propelling characteristics of coal species hardly to be pulped such as Shenfu coal.
